This topper easily covers areas of balding on the top of the head and is thick enough if you have smaller patches on the crown it will cover those as well. I'm it sticks up just a touch right in the middle where your widdows peak would be I'm assuming it's because I have little hair above the ears to the top so I'm having trouble getting it to stay in place long periods at a time. I may be able to use a wig grip to keep it in place longer but the areas that have no hair it covers well. I have short hair and the topper blends very well with my hair gives it volume and length and no one even has guessed it's not my hair. It moved in the wind like real hair, not overly shiny, it's soft and the coloring is beautiful. For people starting out with wigs and toppers I recommend this one if the need a little cover up for thinning and hair loss like me.
